Wicked Tree, 03 March 2010


Okay, so the tree from yesterday’s post reminded me that I had forgotten something, so here it is.

Those of you who may have read my post from a few weeks ago may remember me describing having walked out to the Lakefront to photograph a wicked-looking tree. Well, here it is.

Okay, okay…obviously, the tree isn’t evil, but it sure is striking. I had also recently read the graphic novel version of Stephen King’s The Dark Tower, where a certain tree features rather prominently, so I suppose I had evil trees on my mind.

Regarding the photo itself, there’s not much to say. The light was good, so exposure wasn’t a problem. I did increase the color saturation a bit, though – what can I say? I’m quite enamored of the saturated look of Fuji’s slide films, so I’m trying to emulate that look in my digital color shots.
