Lake Michigan Tide, 13 April 2010

I like water, especially when it’s turbulent and such.

Photo Information:

Camera: Nikon D80
Lens: Nikon Nikkor 35mm f/1.8 DX
ISO Equivalency: 100
Color Setting: Vivid

I shot this on Lake Michigan while I was walking around at Montrose Harbor; due to the overcast conditions, I shot this photo at 1/125 sec., so while some of the wave patterns are fairly static, the rapidly flowing water over the submerged rock turned out a little blurry. I actually like it, since it captures the feel of the rushing water. Due to the overcast conditions, I also had to adjust the contrast a bit, since the original wasn’t quite so dramatic.

Enjoy.
