Winter in Norfolk, 26 December 2010

Yes, winter has arrived everywhere!

Photo Information:

Camera: Nikon D80
Lens: Nikon Nikkor 60mm f/2.8
ISO Equivalency: 400
Color Setting: Vivid

This is part of a fountain in the Norfolk Botanical Gardens. While I typically like to shoot at the lowest possible ISO setting (ISO 100 on my D80), I couldn’t get the shutter speed fast enough to catch the water droplet you can see here, so I adjusted the ISO setting to 400. This is one of the advantages of using a digital camera; if you’re shooting with film, you’re constrained by the ISO speed of the film for all shots on that roll, while on a digital camera, you can adjust the ISO setting on the fly as required.

Anyways, the shot had ice and water in it…if it had some fire in it, it would’ve been perfect, but it’s pretty good as it is, don’t you think?
