The Greatest Camera EVER

2011/04/01

They say that a photographer is only as good as the equipment he or she uses, so I’d like to introduce y’all to the camera that made me the amazing photographer I am today. But first, as always, a sample from said camera.

Holga_Pipe01

The camera, of course, is the inimitable Holga 120N, which is, in my humble opinion, the finest photographic instrument ever created.

Holga 120N

I know…it doesn’t look like much, does it? But what you don’t know is that prosaic shape belies the absolute marvel of its design and construction. Why, the entire camera is formed from nothing but the best black plastic money can buy…and that Optical Lens? Nothing less than the finest clear plastic on God’s green Earth. What does it matter that you could crack it by accidentally sitting on it, or that a fall from a modest height could knock the rear panel off and fog your film? Why, just don’t be so careless, ya clumsy bastard! Such concerns are trivial compared to the amazing results you’ll immediately begin seeing as soon as you start using this wonder of modern technology.

So go ahead…buy one now! It’ll make you a better photographer, and you’ll be more popular than ever!!!

[Disclaimer]:

Okay, okay…in case y’all haven’t figured it out yet, please check today’s date. I actually hate this camera about as much as one can hate an inanimate object. I’d gleefully convert it into tiny plastic shards with my sledgehammer were it not for the fact that I actually (and stupidly) paid money for this damn thing. Anyways, keep an eye out for future posts regarding this matter…one of my current projects relates to this. But more on that later.
