Kodak Bantam, 11 April 2011

Yeah, I know…that last post was rather depressing, so to make up for it, here’s a delightful photo!

Photo Information:

Location: Chicago, Illinois; Chicago Loop
Camera: Kodak Bantam f/6.3
Lens: Kodak Anastigmat 53mm f/6.3
Film: Kodak TMax 100 (135 respooled onto 828)

The subject of this photo is LaSalle Street, facing south from Madison Avenue. The building at the end of the street is the Chicago Board of Trade Building, a well-proportioned Art Deco design completed in 1930 and designed by Holabird & Root, on the south side of Jackson and LaSalle. I shot this photo late enough in the afternoon that the sun wasn’t directly south of the CBT, but off to the west, allowing me to capture the detail on the north face of the building. Considering that this camera has no adjustable settings, I think it captured the scene quite wel, don’t you?
