Kodak Retina I Type 117, 20 July 2011

Since I’m in need of some diversion from my dire econimic situation, I’m delving back into some of my rather excessive backlog of photos I shot earlier this year – 35mm film is especially good for that sort of thing, since you get a large number of exposures for not much in the way of expense. I still prefer medium format for its better resolution, but in a pinch, 35mm ain’t bad.

Photo Information:

Location: Chicago, Illinois
Camera: Kodak Retina I Type 117
Lens: Schneider-Kreuznach 50mm f/3.5 Xenar
Film: Kodak TMax 100 (135)

The first photo above is a firehouse (Engine 78, as you can see from the door) that’s across the street from Wrigley Field (the shadow in the foreground is from the stadium itself). The remainder of these photos are street scenes all taken along Lincoln Avenue between Addison and Diversey, square in the center of the Lakeview Neighborhood.
