11 11 11 11 11

I am occasionally amused by dates that involve sequences of numbers (as many folks apparently are), so of course, I couldn’t refuse the chance to take advantage of that today.

Location: Chicago, Illinois; Lincoln Park Neighborhood
Camera: Nikon D80
Lens: Nikon Nikkor 60mm f/2.8 Micro

While the timestamp does read 11:11, I missed getting the seconds aligned by exactly one second (the photo was recorded at 11:11:12) – rats. And yes, I know…there are technically two opportunities to catch that timestamp each day, but that’s only if you’re using 12-hour time; in general, I think in 24-hour time, so in that situation, there is only one 11:11 during the day (the nighttime one being 23:11).

As for the photo itself, well. It’s the tail end of autumn, and I sure do like colorful leaves – red ones, this time. I’ve noticed that the majority of trees in the city have orange or yellow leaves when they turn in autumn, so it’s nice to see some other hues out there.
